Mark Moskowitz wrote, produced, and directed “It Was the Music”, a new 10-part series that will air in 2020. It follows the fortunes of Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams as they take their act, and their marriage, on the road.
Mark produced and directed the award-winning feature-length and theatrically released documentary, “Stone Reader”, which played in 19 countries, and was picked as one of the ten best films of 2003.
Mark’s award-winning documentaries on Lavoisier, Stockpile Stewardship (“Race Against Time”) and other issue-oriented films for a variety of commercial and institutional clients has given him the privilege of collaborating with film professionals all over the world.
He is widely known in the world of political media, directing thousands of issue-oriented ads for Democratic candidates at every level, from Congress to Gubernatorial to Presidential, and in doing so has worked in 49 states. Blue Cross, MD Anderson, Dodge, NBA Players Association, IBEW, Goldman Sachs, Johnson & Johnson, Haverford College, and Inovio are just a few of many clients who have sought his help over the years.
He’s currently filming a feature about collectors, and what they hold dear, called “Art Stops Here”; “Slum Runners” about youths trying to find their way out of Kibera (Nairobi) by competing as long distance runners; and is in development for a series on Record Stores, and a documentary about ABA basketball players, excluded from NBA pensions long ago, now facing old age and destitution.
